Milnerton at a glance

This suburb is known for being one of Western Capes largest and fastest growing commercial and industrial areas. Milnerton is north of Cape Town, only a 20-minute commute to the CBD, Waterfront and the Cape Town Harbour.

The N1 will follow on to other roads that will lead Milnerton residents straight to the city centre, including Koeberg Road, Otto du Plessis Drive (R27), Ratanga Road and the N7. There are efficient bus routes that will transport you anywhere you need to go.

Milnerton lies just at the edge of the Atlantic Ocean, providing residents a stunning view of the ocean, nearby lagoons, and other scenic attractions. The Milnerton lagoon is a major attraction, as it is where the Diep River joins the sea and is surrounded by tropical palm trees. People come here to relax, enjoy the beauty, and even do some water sports like cannoning.

Milnerton beach has a spectacular view of Table Mountain and is very popular with the surfers. On the way to this beach, stop by the Milnerton lighthouse as it is a great historic masterpiece for the suburb. Right next to this lies Maestro's on the Beach, a restaurant with at 180-degree view of Cape Town, Table Mountain, Robben Island and all the way to Blouberg on the West Coast. This restaurant is like none other, the waves crash right below the outside deck making the experience one-of-a-kind.

The Second largest military aviation museum in South Africa is just less than 10km outside of Milnerton. The South African Air Force (SAAF) museum offers a very in-depth educational display of the history of SAAF, their operational activities in the Cape, even real displays of uniforms, weapons and engines that were used years ago.

The Paddocks shopping centre is located in this suburb, just off the West Coast Road and is a favourite for the locals, offering ultimate convenience and a wide variety. Other nearby centres include Milnerton Mall, Milnerton Centre, Canal Walk Shopping Centre, Ocean Square and so many more.
